Department of Computer Engineering offers two undergraduate programs, one in computer engineering and one in software engineering. The software engineering program is offered as a joint degree dual diploma program jointly with SUNY (State University of New York) Brockport College.

The SUNY-IŞIK Joint Dual Degree Program in Software Engineering is a unique program offering many opportunities to the students.

 Department of Computer Engineering also offers graduate study in computer engineering. The M.S. program in computer engineering is in effect for several years already and the Ph. D. program  is planned to start in the academic year of 2006-2007.

 Department of Computer engineering offers several double major programs and several minor programs.

 Double major programs are offered to the students of the following programs:

• Electronics engineering
• Industrial engineering
• Mathematics
• Mathematical engineering
• Physics

 The following minor programs are offered:

• Computing systems
• Computer hardware
• Computer networks

Computer hardware and computer networks minors are offered to the students of the electronics engineering program and the computing systems minor program is offered to the students of Electronics engineering, Industrial engineering, Mathematics, Mathematical engineering and Physics programs.

 Department of Computer Engineering has a young research active faculty. The faculty is involved in many research projects including FP6 projects.
